About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machining Tool Specialist to join our team at Archer Precision Inc. as a CNC Machine Setter. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up machines to perform repetitive machining operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC machine tools to perform precision machining operations, ensuring high-quality results and meeting production deadlines.
  • Quality Control: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers, to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery, including cleaning and lubricating parts, to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Programming and Setup: Enter codes specifying speed, feed, and cut of the toolpath for CNC machine tools, and set up machines for production runs.
  • Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
Working Conditions
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and stand for long periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication skills, reliability, and ability to multitask.
