Position Overview:

As a Leasing Law Clerk at Linds & Associates, you will play a crucial role in the management and execution of commercial leasing agreements. Your expertise will ensure that all lease documents are meticulously reviewed and amended to meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and modify commercial lease agreements, including subleases, offers to lease, and related documents.
  • Coordinate and oversee lease due diligence projects to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Prepare and register essential lease-related documents, such as notices of lease and short forms of lease.
  • Facilitate and manage commercial lease negotiations from inception to completion, collaborating closely with a supervising attorney.
  • Deliver exceptional quality in all assigned tasks, maintaining accountability and initiative.
Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years in a similar role as a Leasing Law Clerk.

Education: Successful completion of a post-secondary program in legal assistance or law clerk studies.

Certifications: ILCO certification preferred or a willingness to pursue it.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Familiarity with document comparison tools such as Workshare Compare.
  • Knowledge of Teraview and title-related matters, including the ability to interpret sub-searches.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and work effectively under pressure.
  • Adaptability to changing job requirements.
