Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Land Management Specialist to join our team at the Government of Saskatchewan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our agricultural lands, ensuring their optimal use and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement land management plans to achieve optimal crop yields and soil health
- Conduct site assessments and recommend land use strategies to maximize agricultural productivity
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including farmers, ranchers, and other government agencies, to ensure effective land use and management
- Monitor and report on land use trends and patterns, providing insights to inform policy and decision-making
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as agriculture, environmental science, or a related field
- Proven experience in land management, agriculture, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
