Join the Government of Nova Scotia's Conservation Team
We are looking for a dedicated Conservation Planner to assist in a significant conservation initiative focused on safeguarding biodiversity. This role requires effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders to enhance conservation strategies, land safeguarding, and ecological assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support efforts in biodiversity preservation
- Engage with stakeholders to develop conservation strategies
- Conduct ecological assessments and data analysis
- Promote partnerships and facilitate community engagement
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Environmental Management or a similar discipline, along with a minimum of two years of pertinent experience. Familiarity with regulations concerning protected areas is crucial. Skills in collaborative planning and project oversight are vital, and proficiency in relevant software and GIS tools is advantageous.
