About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Construction Superintendent to join our team in Fredericton, New Brunswick. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the project manager to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of construction teams, including laborers, tradespeople, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, including progress updates, budget variances, and safety incidents.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on building construction.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software, including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
