Position Overview

Position Title: Employment & Youth Resource Specialist

Type: Temporary

Classification: FT Support Staff E

Salary Range: $27.81 - $32.24

Role Summary

This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service and managing various administrative tasks at the NEW Community Employment Resource Centre. The specialist will engage in:

  • Client reception and registration
  • Data entry and management
  • Promotion of employment programs
  • Outreach initiatives to enhance service visibility
Program Support Responsibilities

The specialist will provide targeted support for the Youth Job Connect Programs, which includes:

  • Offering mentorship and guidance to participants
  • Coordinating job readiness training sessions
  • Facilitating workshops to enhance employability skills
Qualifications

Education: A minimum of a 2-year diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: At least three years of relevant experience in:

  • Human Resources, Social Services, or related fields
  • Facilitating workshops and training
  • Employment advisement and referrals

Skills: Proficiency in:

  • MS Office Suite and Google Drive
  • Digital meeting platforms
  • Social media management and content creation
  • Website management and online job application systems
