Job Title: People & Culture Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized People & Culture Coordinator to join our team at Westin Calgary Airport. As a key member of our P&C team, you will play a vital role in supporting various P&C functions, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork, orientation, and training arrangements.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a seamless recruitment and onboarding experience.
  • Ensure compliance with P&C policies and regulations and assist in the preparation of P&C reports.
  • Act as a point of reference for employees regarding P&C related queries, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records and assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary certifications/diploma or degree.
  • Natural empathy and desire to assist people.
  • 1 + years of experience in Human Resource positions.
  • Experience with ATS, Social Media, Linked In, and Indeed tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Comfortable with technology and open to new learning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment with high levels of interaction with candidates, employees, business partners, and stakeholders. You will spend the majority of your time working business hours Monday to Friday, but may also experience long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines in heavy recruiting seasons.
