Industrial Mechanic Specialist

The Industrial Mechanic Specialist is tasked with the comprehensive upkeep and repair of all machinery, utilities, and operational processes within Johnson Electric. This role involves adhering to the protocols of maintenance management software systems to enhance Preventative Maintenance initiatives, manage work orders, and oversee the procurement of spare and replacement components.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, modifications, and rigging as necessary. Complete Preventative Maintenance work orders according to the PM schedule, providing thorough and accurate feedback on the PM, including completion status and any additional work or materials needed. Adhere to all company safety regulations and ensure that all equipment is properly safeguarded and functioning safely. Offer technical assistance to various departments regarding processes, products, and equipment on a daily basis. Ensure effective communication and transition between shifts with Technical Team Members to maintain operational continuity. Engage in departmental meetings to address and resolve issues related to quality, service, operations, facilities, human resources, and health and safety. Participate in 5S activities to promote workplace organization and efficiency. Solve operational challenges and pursue continuous improvement opportunities within processes. Assist in the onboarding and training of new department members. Success metrics include maximizing equipment uptime, minimizing breakdowns, ensuring PM effectiveness and reliability, and providing effective feedback on equipment issues during maintenance or breakdown activities. Comply with Johnson Electric's Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures, including IATF 16949 / ISO 900 standards. Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Secondary School Graduation Diploma accompanied by a valid Certificate of Apprenticeship. Must hold a valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) in good standing with the relevant regulatory body. A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of hands-on experience is preferred. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment, with experience in heavy presses being advantageous.
