Job Title: Litigation Lawyer

Location: Okanagan, BC

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years of general litigation and Personal Injury Defense experience to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a full caseload of litigation files independently, including examinations for discovery, applications, mediations, and trials.
  • Provide legal services in areas such as personal injury defense, estate litigation, insurance disputes, and more.
  • Collaborate with senior legal counsel for mentorship on complex cases.
  • Maintain excellent client communication and deliver high-quality legal work.
  • Exercise discretion and good judgment in sensitive and confidential matters.

Qualifications:

  • Member of the BC Bar in good standing.
  • Legally entitled to practice law in Canada.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with Personal Injury Defense experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload from start to finish with little supervision.
  • Previous trial experience is an asset.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, interpersonal communication, and legal drafting.
  • Excellent client service orientation and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and provide clear direction to others.

Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000, depending on experience.

Hiring Process:

  1. Remote 30-minute interview with HR Advisor.
  2. In-person or remote 60-minute video interview with HR Advisor and Managing Partner.
  3. Second interview with additional team members.
  4. Reference and security checks.
