POSITION OVERVIEW
The Entry-Level Corporate Counsel will provide essential support across various business units by drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, reviewing and preparing lease agreements, and managing litigation matters. A typical day may involve negotiating contracts with clients and suppliers, collaborating with business teams on compliance issues, and assisting in litigation processes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Offer legal guidance to diverse business sectors, including customs brokerage, transportation, logistics, international freight forwarding, IT, intellectual property, managed services, and employment law. Conduct legal research on regulatory compliance relevant to international trade and customs brokerage. Negotiate, draft, and review various corporate documents to support transactions on behalf of the organization. Review and draft commercial lease agreements and facilitate related transactions. Perform due diligence as required. Execute additional duties as assigned by management. Comply with established policies and procedures.REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient legal analysis and drafting capabilities. Strong business acumen. Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities. Outstanding communication skills. Effective organizational and interpersonal skills. Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED
4 years of relevant experience.EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Preferred: Juris Doctorate or equivalent in Business or Global Trade/Commerce.COMPETENCIES
