We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Site Leader at Fraser Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the delivery of direct patient care at our Regional Hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate the delivery of direct patient care at our Regional Hospitals, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and exceptional customer service.
- Provide leadership and direction to Patient Care Coordinators and/or Charge Nurses, making critical decisions and solving complex problems that impact patient care and safety.
- Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care interfaces between clinical units and departments, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Coordinate hospital operations in accordance with established policies and standards of quality and patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate alignment and realignment of staffing resources, making timely and autonomous decisions regarding bed utilization and patient placement.
- Ensure patient safety protocols are followed and staffing issues are addressed in accordance with collective agreements and administrative policies.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with on-site medical and clinical healthcare providers, management, and administrative personnel.
- Address and facilitate resolution of customer service and client relations issues, ensuring a positive experience for patients, families, and staff.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an approved School of Nursing.
- Five years' recent, relevant, acute care experience, including a minimum of two years' experience in a supervisory and/or administrative capacity.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and evidence-based practice.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health care disciplines and their role within health care.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in a continuously changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead, and provide work direction.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and facilitate learning of staff and/or patients/families.
- Demonstrated ability to role model and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills, problem solve, and deal with conflict situations.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including proven ability to utilize computer technology.
