About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Technologist I to join our team at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. As a Medical Radiation Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, and MRI.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment
  • Develop and process radiographic images
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset
  • Comprehension of technical language to review and use manuals and participate in relevant discussions
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
