Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel for Real Estate Transactions

Infrastructure Ontario is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our Real Estate Management & Litigation Team, you will provide expert legal advice and support to internal clients on commercial real estate transactions and corporate/commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice to Infrastructure Ontario executives and business units to support decision making.
  • Ensure corporate compliance with current legislation and Infrastructure Ontario policies and procedures.
  • Provide legal support to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide litigation support to business units.
Requirements:
  • Several years of experience practicing law in the area of commercial real estate.
  • Experience conducting title reviews and preparing title reports.
  • University degree in Law (LLB or JD).
  • Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate, property and land management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Compensation:

$108,900 - $163,400 a year

Candidates with up to 6 years of experience as a licensed lawyer in Ontario will be considered for a Legal Counsel position. Candidates with more than 6 years of experience will be considered for a Senior Legal Counsel position.
