Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

AMK TRANSPORT LTD is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Logistics: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations as needed to ensure efficient transportation.
  • Documentation: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, and ensure accurate record-keeping of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Willing to train, with a valid driver's license (Class 1 or A) and a strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain attention to detail.
