General Manager

Ocean Choice International is seeking a seasoned leader to oversee the safe and responsible management of one of our fishing vessels. As General Manager, you will play a critical role in driving our vision forward and ensuring the success of our Atlantic Fleet Operations Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute fishing trips to optimize vessel performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs to ensure the vessel is in good working condition.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve vessel operations and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, quality assurance, and finance teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor and report on vessel performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a marine or manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of vessel operations and management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and demanding environment, with a strong focus on safety and sustainability.
