Job Title: Assistant Professor of Teaching

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor of Teaching to join our faculty at the University of British Columbia. This is a tenure-track position in the Educational Leadership stream, with a focus on curriculum development and pedagogy in biomedical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach a range of biomedical engineering courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Develop and implement innovative curriculum designs and pedagogies
  • Contribute to educational leadership activities, including curriculum development, laboratory course development, and pedagogical innovation
  • Participate in service activities within the University and provide service to the broader academic and professional community
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related area
  • Experience teaching biomedical engineering or bioengineering at a post-secondary level
  • Evidence of ability to integrate engineering and biological fundamentals in course development and delivery
  • Canadian professional engineering (P.Eng.) licence or eligibility to obtain a PEng
