About the Position:
The University of British Columbia's School of Biomedical Engineering invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Teaching. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading curriculum development, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Biomedical Engineering, and contributing to educational leadership activities.
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Biomedical Engineering, including biomanufacturing, bioprocessing, bioprinting, and additive manufacturing
- Contribute to curriculum development and implementation, including the creation of new undergraduate and graduate courses
- Participate in educational leadership activities, including pedagogical innovation, laboratory course development, and other teaching and learning initiatives
- Collaborate with other programs and departments to bring forward strategic initiatives for the School and the Faculties
- Foster an environment that promotes inclusivity and embodies values of respect, integrity, compassion, collaboration, and equity

Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related area
- Experience teaching biomedical engineering or bioengineering at a post-secondary level
- Evidence of ability to integrate engineering and biological fundamentals in course development and delivery
- Canadian professional engineering (P.Eng.) licence or eligibility to obtain a PEng
