Job Title: Technical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Engineer to join our team at Rodan Energy Solutions. As a Technical Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and operation of our nuclear facilities.

Job Summary:

The Technical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and updating operating procedures, receiving assignments from supervisors, and identifying potential problems and opportunities. You will also be required to prepare new or revised procedures, submit them for review and approval, and participate in training programs to further your development and assist in the development of others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update operating procedures
  • Receive assignments from supervisors and identify potential problems and opportunities
  • Prepare new or revised procedures and submit them for review and approval
  • Participate in training programs to further your development and assist in the development of others
  • Prepare reports to provide information and data in answer to external requests or for historical purposes
  • Initiate studies or investigations where opportunities for improvement are apparent
  • Provide technical evaluations and advice, solve problems, and coordinate technical work as required
Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with an undergraduate degree in engineering and DE Qualified as per OPG Qual. You should have a knowledge of physics, chemistry, metallurgy, mathematics, electricity, engineering, and economics to technically understand the operation of the facility. Advanced knowledge of one or more of these subjects is required to evaluate and propose improvements to processes, equipment, and systems or to unit safety, reliability, and performance.

You should also have experience in the design, development, or operation of a nuclear facility or in the development, manufacture, or production of nuclear materials or components. Experience in solving problems, providing advice and guidance, initiating developmental studies, and making recommendations during the design, commissioning, and operation of a nuclear facility is also required.

A period of over 6 years and up to and including 8 years is considered necessary to gain this experience.
