  • Claim Management:
    • Reviewing and analyzing claims to identify outstanding balances.
    • Contacting clients to discuss payment arrangements and resolve any discrepancies.
    • Generating correspondence related to claim status and payment requests.
  • Collections Process:
    • Negotiating settlement agreements with clients within established parameters.
    • Processing payments and recording transactions accurately.
    • Maintaining detailed records of all collection activities.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Generating monthly reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Analyzing collection trends and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Team Support:
    • Providing technical guidance on collection practices and procedures to team members.
    • Troubleshooting issues with the collections management system.
    • Contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in collections administration, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Completion of a Financial Accounting course (36 hours) or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Business Law course (36 hours) or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Business Communications course (36 hours) or equivalent.
  • Completion of an Intermediate Excel course (18 hours) or equivalent.
  • Completion of an Intermediate Word course (18 hours) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Intermediate Word and Intermediate Excel, typing 40 wpm, keystroking 10,000 ksph, and math skills.
