Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Produce department, ensuring efficient and effective management of inventory, staff, and customer service.
  • Supervise and train staff on proper operation of the produce department, including safe food handling and preparation, kitchen safety techniques, and customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales, margin, and customer satisfaction in the Produce department.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise, as well as maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including food safety and quality control standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives and improve overall store performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in produce management to ensure the department remains competitive and efficient.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of retail supervisory experience, preferably in a produce department.
  • Proven track record of improving sales, margin, and customer satisfaction in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Food Safe Level I certification and a strong understanding of food safety and quality control standards.
