Producer - Rogers TV

We are seeking a talented Producer to join our team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a Producer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content for our local TV channels in Penticton, BC and Red Deer, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and produce video content that meets the needs of our local audience.
  • Oversee the entire production process, from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Collaborate with community members and volunteers to create engaging local content.
  • Handle post-production workflow, including editing and distribution of content.
  • Monitor local events to provide timely news coverage.
  • Build relationships with local content creators to enhance our program offerings.
  • Mentor volunteers and community groups in creating engaging local TV programming.
  • Produce promos for local productions and provide information for digital promotion.
  • Stay up-to-date with production equipment and participate in training sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality content.
Requirements:
  • A team player attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
  • A creative and agile approach with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong public relations, training, and media-related skills.
  • A keen interest in improving skills to support production tasks and solve technical problems.
  • Proficient understanding of media production tools and technologies.
  • Editorial savvy and strong storytelling skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to effectively manage a diverse group of volunteers.
  • A self-starter who works well with minimal direction.
  • An understanding of community television and the production process is an asset.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license.
