Job Summary

This is a senior leadership role that oversees the development and implementation of risk management strategies across various business lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, business acumen, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Planning and Governance:
    • Participate in enterprise risk control assessments to ensure risk appetite constraints are aligned with business objectives.
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all business lines.
    • Collaborate with business representatives to ensure risk management processes are integrated into business operations.
  • Core Essentials:
    • Implement and monitor risk management processes to ensure timely and effective resolution of risk issues.
    • Identify opportunities for additional reporting and key risk indicators across all risk types.
    • Provide guidance and coaching to participants in the risk management process.
  • Personal Banking Investments:
    • Participate in risk monitoring and control activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with business risk monitoring and control centre of excellence to ensure timely resolution of risk issues.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10-15 years' experience in financial services with 3-5 years in leadership.
  • Proven business acumen and credibility.
  • Strong influencing, collaboration, relationship building, and communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with significant knowledge and understanding of RBC businesses and organization.
  • Proven change management capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
