Position Overview

This role is pivotal within the ABB Installation Products Division, recognized as the leading manufacturer of electrification products in North America. We are in search of a proactive individual eager to embrace stimulating challenges as a Strategic Human Resources Partner.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engage in the formulation and dissemination of the organization's vision, fostering a culture of performance and recognition through strong leadership influence.
  2. Establish robust relationships with leaders across various employee groups, ensuring a collaborative approach and fairness in decision-making processes.
  3. Gain a comprehensive understanding of organizational operations and requirements, identify human resources strategies, and implement performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  4. Ensure adherence to legal standards while overseeing human resources programs and policies, ensuring effective application by management.
  5. Develop and implement strategies for recruitment, pay equity, compensation, labor relations, and employee development aligned with organizational needs.
  6. Participate in various committees focused on pension plans, labor relations, and employee grievances.
  7. Collaborate with leadership to identify and execute change management initiatives and continuous improvement activities within Human Resources.
  8. Uphold the company's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions while fostering a supportive environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a unionized setting.
  • Proven experience in HR functions is essential; experience in mergers and acquisitions is advantageous.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication skills in both French and English.
  • Exceptional team-building capabilities and a promoter of cross-site collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to influence decisions and align strategies with organizational goals.
  • Results-driven with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and meet objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of human resources management laws and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new systems.
  • Willingness to work in the office on a regular basis.
