Position Overview

The Head of Commercial Asset Management will lead the strategic direction of the Asset Management Department within Electronic Arts. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of artistic vision and technical execution across various game development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Oversee the Asset Management team, serving as the primary liaison between game development teams and external technical partners.
  • Project Oversight: Manage multiple projects, providing guidance and support while ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive roadmap for the Asset Management department, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and uphold quality benchmarks for game development teams, ensuring consistency and excellence in all deliverables.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with external vendors to uphold the quality of assets and facilitate improvements in both visual and technical aspects.
  • Initial Scoping: Conduct project scoping and investigations to assess feasibility and resource requirements.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 8+ years of experience in game development or visual effects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • A strong background in collaborating with technical, creative, and business stakeholders.
  • Expertise in rigging and skinning complex assets, with a solid understanding of animation principles and human anatomy.
  • Proficiency in scripting, particularly with Python and PyQT/PySide.
  • Experience with 3D mathematics and familiarity with game engines, whether commercial or proprietary.
  • Knowledge of facial rigging techniques and C++ programming.
