Position Overview

Role Summary

What is the opportunity?

The Futures Execution Analyst, part of the Capital Markets - Business and Client Services (BCS), collaborates closely with the Futures Front Office and Futures Clearing teams to ensure a systematic approach for the following responsibilities, adhering to all internal and external regulatory standards:

  • Validation and reconciliation of execution fee transactions related to Give-up and Give-in
  • Management of payment and collection processes for all validated Futures execution fees
  • Ensuring accurate representation of Futures Executions in financial records
  • Overseeing the overall balances of Futures Execution Receivables and Payables

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute all operational tasks associated with CM FIC Futures functions outlined above
  • Collaborate with business and support teams to enhance processes, reducing risk and improving efficiency
  • Serve as the primary contact for Front Office, Futures Clearing, IT, and FIA-Tech regarding Futures Execution functions
  • Comply with reporting obligations for all management levels, ensuring all business requirements are fulfilled
  • Maintain current Procedure Documents in line with RBC's policies
  • Work closely with IT to understand data/application workflows and establish standard operating procedures, ensuring data integrity across all systems
  • Reconcile and verify General Ledger and Balance Sheet, ensuring that outstanding receivables/payables align with the bank's records
  • Contribute to the achievement of CM - BCS Strategic objectives

Qualifications for Success

Essential Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Understanding of the complete trade life cycle processes within a Capital Markets or Securities Trading environment, specifically in Futures Trading
  • Comprehension of cost flows related to Capital Markets operations
  • Ability to lead change and think strategically
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and analytical capabilities
  • Familiarity with Capital Markets operational functions, including front, middle, and back office trading systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • BBA/BCOM/BSC/MBA degree
  • Familiarity with QlikView and SQL is advantageous
