Technical Writer

Broan-NuTone is a leading manufacturer of residential ventilation products in North America. We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will play a key role in the product development team, working closely with engineers and product managers to create high-quality technical documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and excellent writing and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain technical documentation for new and existing products, including installation instructions, data sheets, and service manuals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Translate technical documents from English to French and vice versa.
- Participate in design reviews to understand the impact on existing and future technical documentation.
- Develop and maintain illustrations, photographs, and graphics to support written content.
- Use PLM software to receive requests, coordinate changes, and publish documentation.
- Fluent in French and English (bilingual, both spoken and written).
- Training in mechanical engineering, translation, computer graphics, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience in technical writing and/or computer graphics.
- Knowledge of Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Creo Illustrate CAD software an asset.
