12380bc Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials to build foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
Work Environment

As a Carpenter, you will work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and undergo training in Fall Arrest Protection.

Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) training
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own transportation
  • Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles
