Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Townplace Suites by Marriott Brantford and Conference Centre. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and dietary restrictions
  • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and presentation
  • Monitor inventory and manage kitchen supplies to minimize waste and optimize costs
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Train and develop kitchen staff to improve skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create new menu items and specials
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a head cook or executive chef in a similar environment
  • Proven track record of leading a team and improving kitchen efficiency
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
