About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at ALSTOM Gruppe. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing signaling solutions for our railway projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop signaling systems for railway projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain system specifications, application rules, and supporting processes descriptions.
  • Provide technical support to project engineering managers and other stakeholders.
  • Review deliverables from non-signaling teams for impact on signaling scope.
  • Deliver signaling solution and design information to non-signaling teams.
  • Perform migration planning, including phasing of deployment of multiple subsystems.
  • Develop interface specifications for external interfaces and internal sub-systems.
  • Ensure technical consistency and feasibility of system requirements.
  • Apply Alstom standard processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Systems Engineering or equivalent design experience.
  • 7 years of experience working on signaling projects as a sub-system or system engineer, desired.
  • Professional Engineer certification or in progress.
  • Ability to achieve results in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to understand and implement customer and industry standards.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, multi-site, global environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
