Join Safran Landing Systems as a Senior Systems Engineer and contribute to the development and certification of advanced landing gear systems for the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the development and certification of landing gear systems, including hydro-mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Liaise with customers and airworthiness authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Define requirements for landing gear systems, including sub-system and component level requirements.
- Participate in integrated product teams to define landing gear system requirements and design architecture.
- Assist in the resolution of issues in development and in-service programs.
- Conduct trade studies to establish preferred systems architecture based on safety, performance, and aircraft level requirements.
- Responsible for systems integration into the aircraft and other aircraft systems.
- Prepare technical presentations for customers, including coordination of supplier input.
- Assist procurement with contract negotiations.
- Conduct review of supplier technical documentation and participate in software audits.
- Participate in test and development, including integrated testing of aircraft systems as required.
- Prepare and review certification documentation for landing gear systems and subsystems.
- Aerospace engineering background with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
- Master's degree in engineering (Aeronautical/Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering Physics, or Engineering Science).
- Excellent knowledge and application of software/hardware requirements, analysis, and verification for airborne equipment and systems per RTCA DO-178 and DO-254.
- Familiarity with landing gear systems components and functions.
- Experience dealing with certification authorities (EASA, FAA, IAC, and TC).
- Excellent knowledge of SAE ARP-4754 and its application to multi-disciplinary systems development.
- Experience with DOORS requirements management software.
- Understanding and ability to apply safety, reliability, and maintainability concepts.
- Knowledge of applicable aerospace standards and airworthiness requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Communication skills in French are an asset.
