Role of the Business Analyst:The Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in steering product development from initial concept through to launch, working in close partnership with technical leads, delivery managers, business sponsors, and subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities:- Engaging with clients to comprehend business needs, documenting them, and converting them into functional requirement specifications.
- Managing the backlog, prioritizing and updating requirements, and crafting high-quality user stories.
- Collecting and analyzing business information related to processes and data to clarify business challenges and requirements.
- Balancing the needs of the business, end users, and technical stakeholders, ensuring that alternatives have been explored and that implementation trade-offs are understood.
- Facilitating relationships within the project team and with clients, ensuring a high level of engagement that leads to a shared understanding of requirements, plans, implementation, and delivery realities.
- Ensuring the quality of the developed solution: it must meet business functional requirements and be ready for production.
- Promoting Agile practices and ceremonies within the project team.
- Assisting in the planning, management, and delivery of project outputs in the project environment.
- Identifying risks and issues related to project scope and timelines, facilitating or escalating for resolution.
- Collaborating with the development team to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet client satisfaction.
- Working with technical leads to ensure successful delivery of development objectives and goals.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in business analysis.
- Strong understanding of technology.
- Familiarity with and enthusiasm for Agile methodologies in software development.
- Ability to synthesize diverse business requirements and facilitate practical, sensible solutions.
- Demonstrated client-facing, partnership, and presentation skills.
- Excellent facilitation, planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
