Our Role

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team and lead our freshness commitment. As a Baker at COBS Bread, you will be responsible for baking a variety of artisan breads and pastries, ensuring that every item that leaves our bakery is of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bake a variety of artisan breads and pastries, following carefully crafted recipes and production schedules.
  • Work independently or as part of a small team to maintain a clean and organized bakery environment.
  • Be responsible for reading production schedules and recipes, measuring and mixing ingredients, moulding and shaping dough, and processing everything through the ovens.
Requirements
  • You are an early riser who can work independently or as part of a small team.
  • You have pride in what COBS Bread offers the community.
  • You have a great attitude and good organizational skills.
  • You share in a commitment to the success of your team, the bakery, and to your own development.
Physical Requirements
  • Continuous standing/walking for all tasks.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 22 kg.
  • Frequent turning and reaching.
  • Occasional pushing, pulling and some forward bending.
  • Ability to lift at least 2.5 kg to a height of 1.7 meters.
  • Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful gripping.
