Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer 2 - Nan to join our team. As a Security Officer 2 - Nan, you will be responsible for protecting the company's assets while providing a welcoming and secure environment for guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and document internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities; prepare written and electronic statements.
  • Access Control: Enforce restricted access by unauthorized persons.
  • Observation and Documentation: Observe transactions, slot drops, chip fills and transferring items to Lost & Found.
  • Identification Checks: Perform identification checks on guests who appear under 30.
  • Dispute Resolution: Refer disputes to the Supervisor, Security.
  • Patrols and Escorting: Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the property as assigned; escort guests and team members.
  • Crowd Control: Perform crowd control as directed.
  • First Aid: Attend to first aid incidents.
  • Self-Exclusion Program: Assist Supervisor, Security with enrolling guests in the Self-Exclusion program.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required, post-secondary education an asset.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of experience working with the public in a service role or in the service industry.
  • Skills: Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution capabilities; previous experience or training in security an asset.
  • Certifications: Must have a valid class driver's license; current First Aid/CPR certification; ability to successfully obtain a Responsible liquor service (SIR), food safety certification.
  • Personal Qualities: Inquisitive, investigative mind, able to identify suspicious behaviors/transactions and make sound judgments based on this; willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development.
  • Technical Skills: Computer literacy in MS Office; ability to organize data with great accuracy.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of privacy legislation an asset.
  • Leadership: Self-motivator and ability to inspire other team members in enhancing the guest experience within the entertainment business.
  • Adaptability: Ability to multi-task and prioritize; ability to follow rules, regulations, policies and procedures at all times.
  • Independence: Must be able to work independently, without close direct supervision, and apply good judgment and discretion under pressure.
