Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Security Guard to join our team at Armour Security & Protection Services Corp. in Nanaimo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of personnel and assets.
  • Identify and report potential security threats and incidents in a timely manner.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, including fire alarms and medical emergencies.
  • Utilize E-Armour Software to file daily reports and incident reports.
  • Scan patrol checkpoints using E-Armour Software to ensure accurate tracking.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with diverse groups.
  • Basic computer and smartphone proficiency, with ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to follow conduct rules and take leadership roles when required.
  • Reliable and highly punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Effective communication skills, with ability to convey information clearly.
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written), with ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in security, with Basic Security Training (BST) license.
