As the Vice President of Enterprise Automation, your primary responsibility will be to lead the technological framework that facilitates automation across various business functions, minimizing manual tasks and enhancing our operational processes. This role will significantly impact customer experiences by collaborating with business units on transformation projects aimed at reducing processing times and enhancing overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as a strategic consultant to Business Leaders in shaping their IT strategies through problem-solving, mentoring, and collaboration.
  2. Stay informed about emerging technologies, service provider trends, and competitive insights.
  3. Formulate long-term plans and ensure the effective application of technology to achieve business goals.
  4. Advocate for the adoption of automation technologies to gain a competitive edge and improve customer experiences, providing guidance to Business Leaders on implementation strategies.
  5. Oversee a comprehensive system modernization initiative to support our automation objectives, transitioning legacy systems to advanced platforms.
  6. Direct the strategic and operational aspects of technology with a strong emphasis on excellence in delivery, ensuring optimal use of financial and human resources.
  7. Engage proactively with internal stakeholders and external clients to identify their needs and deliver innovative solutions.
  8. Collaborate with technology leaders to influence the development of practices, processes, and standards that align with both customer and technological needs.
  9. Design, procure, or modify technology solutions and processes that provide a distinct competitive advantage for the business unit or the organization as a whole.
  10. Focus on attracting, retaining, and nurturing talent, fostering a high-performance culture that emphasizes consistent value delivery.
  11. Manage compliance and risk in accordance with both Canadian and global standards.
Qualifications
  1. Over 10 years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a background in either business or technology.
  2. At least 5 years of direct experience in customer-facing technology, particularly in automation.
  3. Experience in the financial services sector, particularly within regulated environments.
  4. Proven ability to navigate and influence in complex, matrixed organizations.
  5. Experience in building and managing geographically diverse teams to achieve business objectives.
  6. Strong leadership skills with a focus on delivery excellence, effective communication, and relationship-building capabilities.
  7. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives and stakeholders.
  8. Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  9. Transformational leadership experience, particularly in driving significant change initiatives.
  10. Strategic thinker with a long-term perspective and a track record of enhancing business performance.
  11. Strong understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape and the importance of proactive compliance.
  12. Ability to attract, motivate, and develop talent to build a strong, delivery-focused team.
  13. Expertise in technology systems and project management.
