Job Summary

The Andersons, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Trade Support Specialist to join our team. As a Trade Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing support to our Merchandisers and aiding in coordinating trading activities and logistics for our designated area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Trade Group operations, encompassing sales, logistics, and general operations.
  • Prioritize customer service to enhance value for customers and the company from existing and potential marketing opportunities. Foster and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Offer trading and logistics assistance to Merchandisers and Account Representatives.
  • Update and maintain basic reports.

Expectations at this level:

  • Understanding of the grain and transportation industry.
  • Proficiency in futures, basis, spreads, currency, grain movement, marketing techniques, and general sales knowledge.
  • Self-driven with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to utilize established procedures to address routine problems.
  • Follows instructions and carries out routine tasks.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree required (or equivalent work experience).
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience needed.
