Job Summary:

Lifemark Health Group is seeking a skilled Physician Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing in-clinic medical assessments, primarily employment medicals, independent medical assessments, and specialized medicals such as Seafarer's, Aviation, CAPP, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of presenting eligible health problems
  • Perform medication review and identify drug therapy problems
  • Clarify relevant medical issues, including comorbid conditions
  • Clarify diagnosis and prognosis related to eligible health problems
  • Identify conditions that may hinder progress in rehabilitation
  • Identify relevant accommodations or medical restrictions
  • Provide rationale for additional specialized assessments
  • Care may be provided in-person or virtually
  • Engage in targeted follow-up care through a consultative model
  • Participate in de-brief discussions with the interdisciplinary team

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine and valid license to practice in the respective field in the province/territory
  • Experience in managing complex medical conditions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
  • Experience working with a variety of health professionals and disciplines in an interdisciplinary team environment is an asset
  • Experience and knowledge working with the AMI Guide to Easeback 6th edition is an asset
