Position Summary

This role is essential in coordinating production activities and analyzing data to optimize workflow within the BD Diesel Manufacturing Departments. Reporting to the Production Coordinator Team Lead and collaborating with the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient production processes.

Work Schedule

Standard hours are from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in a fully onsite capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Production Coordinator Team Lead to develop and manage production schedules across various departments, identifying priorities and addressing critical needs.
  • Work alongside the Director of Operations to conduct data analysis for forecasting raw materials, parts, and manpower requirements utilizing the Syteline ERP system.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to create and maintain the monthly Sales and Operations Plan (S&OP).
  • Oversee the daily planning cycle, including requirement reviews, analysis, and communication of job orders to production teams.
  • Manage the daily scheduling cycle by reviewing requirements, conducting analysis, and updating departmental schedules.
  • Address labor tracking issues and manage labor transfers as necessary.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service Representatives and Supervisors to ensure smooth RMA processes, including status updates and estimates.
  • Research and communicate parts statuses, lead times, and critical shortages using the ERP system.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at product launches, innovation, and the standardization of best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Working Environment

  • Work is conducted in a production facility setting.
  • Steel-toed footwear and other personal protective equipment are mandatory when on the production floor.

Qualifications

  • Preferred post-secondary training or certification from recognized organizations such as APICS/ASCM.
  • A degree in a related field (Business, Materials Management, Operations Management) is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
