Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Second Cup Cafe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our coffee shop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and establish methods to meet work schedules.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, address customers' complaints or concerns, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Team Management: Supervise and check assembly of trays, supervise and check delivery of food trolleys, and establish work schedules.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.
Personal Suitability:
  • Interpersonal Skills: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, and dependability.
Work Environment:
  • Work Setting: Coffee shop.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
