Position Overview
The Warehouse Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily functions of our warehouse operations. Reporting directly to the Warehouse General Manager, this position is based in Delta and is pivotal in fostering a culture centered around safety and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily activities of the warehouse team, ensuring efficient operations.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Sales departments to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through systematic cycle counting.
- Oversee branch profit and loss management.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of warehouse staff.
- Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to drive performance.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of management experience in a warehouse setting.
- Diploma in Warehouse Management or Logistics & Supply Chain.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Current or previous forklift certification is required.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and Radio Frequency systems.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and customer service abilities.
- Solid background in Health & Safety practices.

Work Environment
- Warehouse setting with required travel approximately once a week.
