Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals in need of emergency medical attention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and the BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
  • Report to the Emergency/Intensive Care Unit Patient Care Coordinator.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve nursing skills.
Requirements:
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Post-graduate certification in Emergency Nursing or Critical Care Nursing or a minimum of one year's recent related experience in an Emergency or ICU setting.
  • Current certification in CPR - Basic Rescuer level required. Current ACLS certification preferred.
  • All Specially Trained Nursing Skills (STN) related to the unit of employment must be completed within six (6) months of employment.
