Reporting to the Senior Payroll Analyst, the Payroll Analyst is responsible for managing salary and hourly payroll, generating standard and customized reports, conducting in-depth analyses, and preparing reconciliations and remittances for third parties and various government entities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Administer payroll for approximately 600 employees in a non-unionized setting across multiple foreign jurisdictions and currencies with varying pay cycles.
  • Handle all payroll modifications (new hires, terminations, adjustments).
  • Generate payroll reports and analytics.
  • Review all inputs, transactions, and deposits for accuracy and completeness.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries.
  • Process remittances and oversee various payroll administrative tasks.
  • Address a wide range of ad-hoc information requests.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external payroll regulations.
  • Provide support to other HR functions as needed.
Education and Experience Required:
  • A university degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Human Resources.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) and/or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designations are highly desirable.
  • Experience with multi-national payroll, particularly in the U.S.
  • Familiarity with Dayforce systems.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of prevailing payroll legislation in all relevant jurisdictions, with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and proficiency in working with numbers.

  • Capability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines while managing conflicts and stressful situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities.
  • Advanced technical and reporting skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Human Resources Information Systems, with advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with Dayforce is advantageous for this position.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
Resource must be eligible to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Clearance for this role.
