About the Role

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Building Systems Student to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. As a Building Systems Student, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and gain valuable experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities
  • Update and submit mechanical and electrical shop drawings.
  • Review and verify site installations.
  • Assist with quality control.
  • Update and input the commissioning schedule.
  • Witness and coordinate commissioning activities.
  • Assist with Request for Information (RFI) tracking and processing.
  • Perform on-site coordination with trades and review progress on site.
  • Track deficiencies.
  • Assist other project managers on the project related to other disciplines/trades.
Requirements
  • Working towards a degree or diploma in a mechanical engineering related field.
  • A passion for working in a construction environment.
  • Ability to review shop and construction drawings.
  • Self-motivation with a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with a variety of different partners.
  • Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.
