Key Responsibilities- Equipment Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
- Equipment Testing and Troubleshooting: Test equipment to locate transmission faults and determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete and maintain test and service reports, providing detailed information on equipment performance and any issues encountered.
- Work Planning and Coordination: Determine work assignments and coordinate with other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Physical Demands: Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures, and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in telecommunications equipment installation and maintenance.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Proficiency in coaxial line, fibre optics, and single line equipment.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, and reliable.
- Free Parking: Free parking available on site.
- Permanent Full-Time Position: Work Term: Permanent, 40 hours per week.
- English Language: Work Language: English.
