Senior Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Minerals and Metals team in Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work on technically complex projects, collaborating with a strong team to plan, schedule, and execute projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mechanical engineering solutions for projects
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and designers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Manage project budgets and schedules
  • Ensure compliance with EGBC requirements and industry standards
Requirements
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of related experience
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in BC, Canada, with a clear disciplinary record and good standing with EGBC
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proactive personality and willingness to coach and guide less experienced engineers and designers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Site experience
  • Strong client management experience
  • Detailed hydraulic analysis experience
  • Experience working on the owner or vendor side
  • Knowledge of fabrication
  • International experience
