Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance.

Job Summary:

The Medical Laboratory Technologist performs a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, hematology, and biochemistry
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes
  • Collect and process blood and other biological samples
  • Interpret test results and communicate findings to healthcare professionals
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program
  • Current or eligible for registration with the CMLTO in the disciplines of Blood Bank, Hematology and Biochemistry
  • At least two years recent technical experience in a core lab
  • Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
