Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to oversee the delivery of exceptional payroll services. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all relevant federal and provincial regulations, as well as collective agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer weekly payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all aspects of payroll management.
  • Generate Records of Employment in line with Employment Standards and Service Canada requirements.
  • Draft employment verification letters as needed.
  • Manage monthly union remittances, adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Handle involuntary deductions and prepare T4s and T2200s.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding payroll information from both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a complex, high-volume, multi-province union payroll environment.
  • Possession of a PCP Designation or progress towards obtaining it is essential.
  • Familiarity with UKG software is advantageous.
  • In-depth understanding of Provincial and Federal Tax Regulations.
  • Experience in Quebec payroll administration is a notable asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with demonstrated analytical skills.
