Position Overview

Fibrecast Inc is seeking a dedicated Welding and Fabrication Expert to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and precision of our metalwork.

Educational Requirements

Candidates should possess a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 1 to 2 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications accurately.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Examine welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Utilize manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Assess the weldability of various materials.
  • Handle hoisting and lifting equipment effectively.
  • Operate set-up welding machines for fabricating or repairing metal parts and products.
  • Use brazing or soldering machines to bond metals or fill imperfections.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
