About the Role

Opligi Inc is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in a precision fabrication specialist role. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for computing dimensions and tolerances of machine parts, measuring and laying out work pieces, and setting up and adjusting production machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dimensional Analysis: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts to ensure precise fabrication.
  • Workpiece Preparation: Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring accurate and efficient production.
  • Machining Operations: Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, including automatic lathes, screw machines, and tool grinders.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments, ensuring optimal equipment performance.
  • Quality Control: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, ensuring high-quality fabrication.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in CNC machining or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and work in a physically demanding environment.
