About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our Bridge Team in Alberta. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of 5-10 members and overseeing the design and delivery of major scale bridge and highway transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of technical staff delivering transportation projects, including DB/P3 projects, bridge/elevated-guideway components for LRT and transit, and other types of major bridge projects.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Manage relationships with current and future clients, understanding their needs and providing guidance and expertise to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Advanced leadership and communication abilities, with the ability to inspire and influence a high-caliber team.
  • University degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in bridge structures.
  • Eligible for a Professional Engineer licence in Alberta.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience working in an engineering and project management capacity on detailed design assignments for bridges for Alberta Transportation or other municipalities, or equivalent jurisdictions in Canada.
  • Superior technical understanding, design abilities, and current knowledge of bridge technologies.
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis software used in bridge design, such as CSIBridge and MIDAS.
  • Specific areas of expertise required include planning, preliminary and detailed design, and construction of bridges of standard and complex geometry.
  • A thorough knowledge of current design codes (CAN/CSA-S14) and standards is essential.
  • Experience with inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation of existing structures.
  • Experience with field review and inspection during construction.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients and stakeholders, and build well-developed teams and positive relationships.
  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
